16th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2011 (my experience and some tips) day 3
Im here at the day 3 of the 16th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon 2011, I can say that my trip here is almost semi-fail. I missed the flight of the balloons and I encounter lots of delays like traffic and a long queue of line. I'm posting here some tips that can help you for your plan visiting the hot air balloon site for their last day tomorrow.
1. I suggest you leave tonight, because the bus in Victory Liner terminal, both Pasay and Cubao terminal, they ran out of bus and I didnt expected that all people will be at the terminal, all 4 bus that was supposed to be have a 40 min. departure each, just left all together and bus in Pasay got only the 5:10am departure. I got lucky that I rode a bus in Cubao, I successfully left Manila at around 4:30pm. The hassle is that you need to fall in line to buy tickets first.
2. Traffic in NLEX exit to San Fernando, Pampanga.
3. Traffic in Clark road
4. Jeepney terminal lacks lots of PUJ at around 5am and beyond. Big group of people are falling in line and everyone went chaos to ride a jeepney, it happen only if a jeep comes, so para saan pa yun pila di ba? buti sanay ako at taga maynila ako pagdating sa garapalan at unahan sa pag sakay.
5. Jeepney unloading zone is at the end of the Clark field, near the stop light, PUJ are not allowed to stop infront of the hot air balloon site. You need to walk all the way from the end going to the entrance
6. Long lines in buying tickets, I suggest you buy tickets at Ticketnet
7. Long lines in entering the venue
8. Lots of flying mosquitos in the grassy area,I suggest bring mosquito repellant lotion or do not wear shorts and also high heels, I saw lots of women there getting tired of walking over a grassy and muddy ground
9. Bring water and drinsk, softdrinks in can costs P45. and I bottled water will be expensive too.
10. Caltex Phil. gives free slurpee and coffee in their booth, just present your ticket
11. Free photo printing, just look for that photo booth at the other side of the hangar
12. Souvenir and food booths are everywhere
13. Bring umbrella or rain coat, I heard that on the end of day 1 and day 2, hot air balloon flights were cancelled and the site experienced an Ondoy like storm, and the areas got flooded.
14. Portalet CR are available. Long lines are expected
15. There's a free shuttle ride going to Marquee Mall and then vice versa
16. If you plan to go here tomorrow and leave Manila at 3am. I suggest you leave Manila at around 1am, if you plan to ride the bus, just visit the website of Victory Liner and other buses for bus schedules.
17. Bring money, everything inside are expensive. I bought a souvenir shirt - P300 only.
18. Eat in Max's Restaurant in Marquee Mall. sarap ng Kare Kare. There's free wifi here in Marquee Mall.

I met Mr. Alex Manabat of Thought Factory at the hot air balloon event and I'm surprised that they have a booth there and he introduced to me his new product - the Bini Boshi hats. He created a custom Darth Vader hat for me, he promised me that months ago and I'm glad that they have a stock for me in their booth. Lots of anime fans went shopping and bought their own Bini Boshi hats. Priced at P250 to P300. Most demanding hats are the Plants vs. Zombies and Angry Birds. Alex told me that these Bini Boshi hats were hand crafted by members of the deaf and mute organization, part of the sales will be added for their org's fund.

X-Men First Class movie - first movie trailer
The love and hate between Charles and Erik will start here. Oh wow! I'm so excited already for this movie and I'm blocking my date for June 3, 2011. I read a different take of the working relationship of Charles and Erik in comic books, but here in the movie makes it more visual and adding a costume for the two of them make it more than a comic book. Humans and mutants will rule again.

Optical Media Board shouts "Bawal Kumopya!"
Do not copy!!! that's what it means, but I hope they can create a good title for their latest campaign, it should be "bawal kumopya at mag benta". I know that the MMFF didn't escaped the acts of movie pirates last December 2010 and sometimes I asked myself "where did they get that super clear copy? " whenever I saw a super clear DVD-like copy of "Agimat at si Enteng Kabisote" movie playing inside an aircon bus going to Cavite.
I remember that one of the staff of OMB shared his keynote at the first CinExpo event and they told us that OMB is now working on a new law about movie and media files piracy and that includes torrents and downloads. But as of now, they don't have yet the machines to monitor millions of people. I'm not sure if they will work on with the Broadband Cap for that new law, but if it works, then piracy will be lessen and a new way of sharing those media files will be born. We can wait for another year before that could happen, but as of today, media downloads still leads. And OMB should concentrate too on foreign films being pirated, because last December, they just focused on the MMFF films.
if OMB do their jobs right...they can close down those pirates tiangges and in malls for good. As I learned from Teddy Boy Locsin address to the PNP -- "they need a strong leader, do you want a Ping Lacson or Rico J. Puno?"

UFO lands in Jerusalem's Dome of the Rock Temple
This news was announced last January 31 across the internet, Youtube videos of the UFO that hovers and warps up to the sky after it stop on top of the Dome of the Rock Temple Mount in Jerusalem. The video above was taken by eye witnesses and showed 3 kinds of amateur videos taken using a video cam and a cellphone with camera. Most interesting footage is from another angle close to the roof of the temple.

Also last January 26th at 3:59am , I was bothered by this star that shines so bright and its big and later on the shines goes out and it went back again. I took a video and photo of it and because its so dark at night and my camera and flip cam can't take a good shot of it. But I have the photos here with me, with complete date and time. The video I took is no longer available, as I deleted it few days ago, I just think if this is the same glowing orb or UFO that floats around in Jerusalem.

16th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta 2011 ( event list, tips and guide)
Everyone is preparing for the big hot air balloon fest in the country, The The 16th Philippine International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta will start on Feb 10-13, 2010 at the Clark Economic Zone, Angeles City. Tickets are sold at P150 and you can buy tickets in advance in TicketNet or buy the tickets there at the ticketing booth infront of the entrance of the hot air balloon fiesta.
I advice to everyone that you buy your ticket in advance because many people buy their tickets on site and if you arrived late, you might miss the departure flight of the hot air balloons.It was announced on the event website that there will be 27 colorful hot air balloons participated for this event and the whole run of the fiesta is jam packed once again with lots of activities and exhibit.

It is a new live action film that we saw after the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993) and Ninja Turtles: Next Mutation tv series (1997), but this new film is not a movie or a direct to video, its one of the web episodes or rumored to be a part of a web series of a new direction for TMNT using live action people in costume, the fan film's title is "FIGHT THE FOOT".
But the film is not an official release, its only a fan film created by a fan and with experience in film making. I think this gimmick is a pitch for an upcoming live action film for our heroes in a half shell, but I did some research and read that there are already plans for a 2011 live action come back movie and 3rd cartoon series of TMNT. We didn't read an update after that and after a year of the news broke out. It could be a pitch for the property of TMNT and producers of the film to have this kind of dark treatment, like a Dark Knight-Chris Nolan movie, or it could be a pitch of the movie producers for the fans of TMNT if they will accept a darker version and serious side of TMNT. It can be a reboot or something else.
But for me, I want a reboot, much more darker and follow the comics version that Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird created TMNT for Mirage Comics in 1984. But I still misses the 1st cartoon and I grew up with it and will love it forever. But a new movie for the old fan and new fan should be seen before the year ends.
The fan film shows a dark haired April O'Neal browsing some photos of a Foot gang member, then a Foot gang group barged in her apartment and beats April heavily, then in the dark, TMNT Raphael kills the gang group and saves April. ohh that is so cool!

Little Darth Vader in Volkswagen tv ad
I saw this cute tv commercial of Volkswagen floating in Youtube and to some other geek blogs. The tvc features a kid in a Darth Vader costume that roams around their house and tries using the dark side of the force. Then his dad came home riding the new Volkswagen car and the little Darth Vader used his force power to do the impossible.
