After
watching the the people of Benguet in full colorful costumes and dancing to
different music, our next tour is to check out the Panagbenga 2013 landscaping
competition. It’s a competition of flower and garden arrangement. The entries
were exhibited at the Burnham Park and around the entries of the landscaping
competition are some stores selling different kinds of plants, flowers and also
wooden furniture.

It’s
a long walk from our location in Session Road, we re-group here in SM City
Baguio and we saw here the long line of people lining up to the check point of
the mall guard. We met Anton here after he got separated from us after we
arrived in Baguio. Anton bought our ticket back to Manila in Victory Liner and
met us here in the mall after the parade.

After
SM City Baguio, we started to walk along Session Road, you can still see the
large flow of people walking around, all of them came from the parade. Although
that the road are closed during the parade, we saw incoming vehicles towards us,
then we realized that the roads are opened up again because the parade is
finished.

Doing
a self portrait before I got hit by a taxi car.

Our
good blogger friend Ted Claudio have its own street name here in Baguio City.
haahahah.
nice one Ted!

Near
Burnham Park, we saw lots of street vendors selling beverages, fruits and other
food
I got salivated when I saw a halo halo store here in the
street.

Mangoes
and more halo halo

There
are lots of Shawarma sellers, but my only purchase here is an iced cold Coca
Cola drink. I need to energize and also wake up my tired body.

We
arrived in Burnham Park and there’s already a big build up of crowd. Almost all
people who came from the parade went all here at the park to check out the
landscaping contest.

Here’s
my panoramic view of the exhibit

It’s
a nice landscape entry, and the creators did this for the festival and sayang
lang..kasi they will tear it apart after the festival.

Lots
of people here in Burnham Park

Sellers
brought their plants for sale here in the park

check

I
took some flower shots here

Oh

Saw
some berries for display, and I thought that these are fakes, but they are real
berries. I wonder how do you display that at home.

Orchid

Here’s

I

2nd
prize of the contest

and
here’s the grand prize!!! under the “carpet of flowers” category

our
bloggers are busy with their own gadgets

wooden
patungan ng kaldero and some fruit wines

We
decided to eat our lunch after visiting the flower entries, then Enzo got lost
inside the big crowd, I txted him and told him to meet us at Oh My Gulay
restaurant.

There’s
a portion in Burnham Park that allows people to set up a tent and do camp. They
sleep here for days just for the festival

Its
free and there’s no need to pay anything, just get your own spot and set up your
own tent. There’s a bathroom nearby that you can use regularly.

That’s
why I see lots of people carrying their rolled down tent here in Baguio City.
All of them are going here to stay overnight. It looks fun! I want to try this
next year.

Our
way up going to Oh My Gulay resto. Here we spot some ukay ukay store and other
bazaars along Session Road.

Anton:
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

When
in Baguio, I’m always prepared, its better to wear rubber shoes or running
shoes, because here in the city, you are required to walk and walk, climb up and
slide down the road.

Spotted
this live preaching on the street, they took the advantage of the large crowd
coming in and they throw up lots of preaching about their beliefs.
Okay,
that’s our tour for day and watch out for my post about Oh My Gulay
resto.
